In short. We collect as little personal data as we can, and we do not sell it. This page covers this website, the emails you send us and what applies to all our apps. Each app has its own privacy policy that says exactly what that app does, including any services it uses, such as advertising or in-app purchases.

Each of our games and apps has its own privacy policy, linked inside the app and on its store page. If you cannot find it, write to us.

This page covers what applies to all of them, this website and emails you send us. It is also our notice on the processing of personal data under Vietnamese law.

Who we are

Ricebird Studio (“we”, “us”) is an independent studio based in Vietnam, run by an individual developer. On Google Play and the App Store our apps are published under the developer’s own developer account, and the store listing shows the developer’s legal name and contact details.

For anything about privacy, write to support@ricebird.studio. We read every message ourselves.

Our principles

  • Collect less. We only process personal data when we need it to run an app or to answer you.
  • On your device where possible. When an app can work without sending your information anywhere, it does.
  • Not for sale. We do not sell personal data.
  • Your choice where it is required. When an app uses personal data for advertising or analytics and the law requires your consent, the app asks first and lets you change your mind later.
  • Said before it ships. If an app starts using a new service that handles personal data, for example advertising, analytics or an online feature, we update that app’s policy before the new version is released and say what changed.

This website

ricebird.studio is a static website. It uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party scripts or fonts; everything is served from our own domain.

When your browser loads a page, our hosting provider (currently GitLab Pages, run by GitLab Inc.) receives the technical information every website receives: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser’s user agent. The provider may keep this in short-lived server logs for security and to keep the service running. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors.

When you email us

If you write to us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach, such as screenshots or details about your device. We use them only to reply to you and to fix what you report. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you, or the steps you ask us to take.

We keep support conversations for up to 2 years after the last message, then delete them, unless we need them longer to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation. Messages pass through our domain’s email-forwarding service and are stored in our mailbox, which is provided by Google (Gmail).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, for example under Vietnam’s Law on Personal Data Protection (Law No. 91/2025/QH15), the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation, or similar laws, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • have it corrected or deleted;
  • receive it in a portable format (in an app with an Export feature, you can do this yourself);
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before;
  • complain to a data protection authority, such as the Ministry of Public Security in Vietnam or the data protection authority where you live.

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

Much of the data our apps use stays on your device, under your direct control; each app explains how to delete it, starting from Delete your data. For anything we hold, such as your emails, write to support@ricebird.studio. We will acknowledge your request within 2 working days and complete it within 15 days. We may ask you to confirm the request comes from you.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Each app’s privacy policy says who the app is meant for. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example in an email, please contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

We are based in Vietnam. Emails you send us are stored by our email provider, which may process them in other countries, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards that provider offers, such as standard contractual clauses. Services an app uses, such as Google or Unity, may also process data in other countries; that app’s policy names them.

Security

We keep the personal data we hold to a minimum, restrict access to the accounts that hold it, and delete what we no longer need. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care.

Changes to this policy

When our practices change we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects an app, we will describe it in that app’s policy before the new version is released.
